All praise and glory to the Lord!
As we took time to reflect back on the past 12 months of fundraising to help #MoveOurMission, we had these great numbers to report at the Mission’s monthly all staff meeting. We are so thankful and excited and wanted to share this update with our community as well.
As of June 2017, there was $2,467,759 left to raise in cash gifts and pledges to construct a new homeless shelter.
Fast forward to June 1, 2018 and that number has been reduced to only $890,658 left to raise in cash and pledges toward the campaign goal of 4.25 million dollars. The Mission plans to construct a 37,000 sq ft new homeless shelter (all one floor) to care for the average of 114 men, women and children that we care for each and every day. As we know you have heard, our current facility is beyond repair and the need becomes more each and every day!
So how can you help? Pray! Give a gift! Tell others about the campaign! Host a fundraiser! Make a pledge!
Here is an idea… if you are hosting a garage sale this summer… why not donate a portion of the proceeds to help Move Our Mission?
