What’s the first thing you do when you entertain a guest? Many times you welcome them in to your home and then offer them a seat so they can be comfortable.
In the Mission’s plan for a replacement 37,000 sq foot homeless shelter, there will be plenty of places that our community will partner with us to offer someone in great need – a seat. And it won’t just be any seat! It will be:
- A chair for when they are eating a full meal provided by our generous community support in our DINING HALL. Maybe the first meal they have had in quite some time.
- A chair for when they are attending a service in our CHAPEL led by our area pastors and staff. A service where they will hear about the truth of the Gospel.
- A chair for when they attend a class, Bible study or seminar offered to them in our EDUCATION CENTER. A chair that will be the spot where they start the process of returning to society in a productive and self-sustaining way.

If you’d like to place your first and last, family or company name on a plaque that shows your support for our clients and demonstrate your partnership in the construction of a replacement building for Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, we would be happy to place a chair in your name in our new facility. Chairs are available in the Education Center, Chapel and Dining Hall for a donation of $1,000 per seat.
